Super Smash Bros. Melee

It's not often a game makes me cry-this game is that good.

Story: Some kid decided that his (hers?) little trophies of Nintendo Characters should fight each other.

The Pokéfactor: There are four playable Pokémon characters, two stages, and many Pokémon in Pokéballs.

Gameplay: If you thought you were prepared by playing the first one, think again. The game is much more balanced, with more damage required for a KO. Additionally, many new modes were added.

3.9 (out of 4)

Graphics: Amazing graphical detail, even on character close ups. Items that were 2-D in the original are often 3-D in Melee. Still, it can be difficult to pick out your player at times.

3.8

Music & Sound:The music is absolutely amazing. However, I do have one complaint: Couldn't they have gotten someone better to do the voice of Mewtwo?

3.8

Play Control: Great. No silly 200-button combos to remember.

3.9

Raw average (25%, 25%, 25%, 25%): 3.9

Tilt average (40%, 15%, 10%, 35%): 3.9

My score: 3.92 (Classic Game Status)

The Final Say: Buy this game as an an excuse to get more GameCube controllers.
