Pokétalk for Sunday, September 12th, 1999 Hello! Steven Reich here, with Pokétalk for Sunday, September 12th, 1999. In our top story, Wizards of the Coast, the company responsible for the Pokémon Collectible Card Game, is being bought out by Hasbro. This buyout will bring Hasbro into a new industry. Second, Nintendo of America has announced a US release date for Pokémon 2, September 2000. This means that we certainately won't see Pokémon 3 for the launch of Game Boy Advance, scheduled to be released just a few months thereafter. In other game news, the next Pokémon game after yellow will be released next spring. In keeping with the two word limit, the came will be called Pokémon Card, and be based on the card game. This weekend, the Kid's WB sent out an unheard of seven episodes of Pokémon. It also features another new episode, which was nice. Next weekend, there will be two new episodes. We'll be back after this pathetic attempt at advertising. Ad: Jigglypuff Announcer: Has this ever happened to you? Steve: Oh no! Anyway, in case you need to know which fast-food restaurant to blame for weight gain this November, the answer is Burger King. The food chain will be featuring toys from Pokémon: The First Movie starting November 8th. Also in movie news, Nintendo has announced plans to release a second movie in the US. This is getting ridiculous, and boy do I like it. By the way, I was thinking of adding reading mail to the things I do during the show, so if you've got something to say, make the subject Pokétalk Letters and send it to yoshi1001@aol.com. Finally, my birthday's on Tuesday the 14th, but I managed to con...vince my mom to let me open presents today. I expect to get Pinball and plan to make a review, of course. That does it for today's Pokétalk, so I'll see you next week. This week's Pokétalk is brought to you by the letters P, I, K, and A and the number 150.
