Game Boy: A System in Its Own Right

The original concept of the Game Boy was for it to be a portable version of the NES. It had the same button layout, and indeed many of the same games. In fact, even today, of all the major Nintendo franchises, only three can call Game Boy their home (Kirby's Dream Land, Wario Land, and of course, Pokémon). Still, this system has gone from being a handheld Nintendo to something much bigger.
